New Chevrolet Traverse Performance
The first evident revision for the new year is a new powertrain. Chevy opted to introduce a 2.5-liter turbocharged engine for all trims in the Traverse lineup. It delivers excellent power, producing 328 horsepower and 326 pound-feet of torque for your Forsyth adventures. A new eight-speed automatic transmission system also delivers smooth performance. Front- and all-wheel drivetrains are available for all trims except the Z71, an AWD-only trim. The new Traverse's maximum towing capacity with a trailering package is 5,000 pounds, more than enough for typical mid-size SUV drivers' needs.
New Chevrolet Traverse Exterior
A boxier design with aggressive and futuristic elements comes into play. The Traverse strikes an interesting visual balance between off-road looks and three-row sensibility. The Chevy SUV favors black accents over tons of chrome, although the LT trim offers a more traditional chrome-heavy look. It has wide and narrow headlamps and a big grille. The covers for the fog lights give the Traverse rugged good looks. Roof rails are standard, and eight body paint colors are available. Flowery Branch drivers can choose wheels that range in size from 18 to 22 inches. All-terrain tires are also available. The off-road-focused Z71 trim also includes tow hooks, skid plates, and higher ground clearance. A hands-free power liftgate is also available.

Thanks to a major refresh year, the interior includes a tech-heavy update that puts a 17.7-inch infotainment display front and center. An 11-inch digital instrument panel is also standard on all trims. Chevy moved the gear selector out of the console and onto the column to free up valuable space, too. You can purchase the Traverse with seven or eight seats, and second-row captain's chairs are available. The interior has tight, clean, and modern aesthetics. The interior surfaces have rounder and softer edges than are common in most current vehicles, too. Silver accents are in tasteful locations throughout the cabin. While the Traverse is a passenger-focused SUV, it still offers 22.9 cubic feet of rear cargo space. That amount expands to 97.6 cubic feet when you fold the rear seats.
New Chevrolet Traverse Technology
The impressive infotainment screen connects to music, apps, navigation, and driving data. Chevy's award-winning OnStar service is available to provide access to advisors and vehicle diagnostics, too. An HD surround vision camera system is also available to provide excellent situational awareness throughout every trip to Jefferson. The standard audio system has six speakers, but buyers may order a 10-speaker Bose system with a powered sub.
